Last Saturday, I went to Chael’s house to help him learn how to sign up clients for FFR.
He wanted to learn how to talk about what we were doing and answer people’s questions.
It was a really cold day. It was 50 degrees and windy. But we made it through!
Chael initially had a bit of a hard time explaining what the program was about but as we knocked on doors he got the hang of it. He has a very cheerful and calm personality. By working with him I learnt a lot too.
For example, we decided to start our conversion with “Hi, we are not selling anything….”. That seemed to be better.
Everyone we spoke to was really friendly. Initially, they thought we were just there to collect stuff, but when we explained that it was for a collection every month, they quickly signed up!
We signed up four families that day before our hands froze and we called it a day.
All in all, what better way to spend a Saturday than with a friend, and helping the community.
