This spring, our Fun Fit Recycle club worked together to collect a big batch of hard-to-recycle items from our community.
We gathered a lot of batteries, light bulbs, coolants, gas cyliners, and other materials that shouldn’t go in the regular trash, and can’t be easily thrown into the recycling bin either.
Once we had everything sorted, I made a trip to the City of Round Rock Recycling Center. It was great to see how much we had collected!
It felt good to know we were keeping these items out of landfills and doing our part to protect the environment.

We’re already looking forward to our next recycling drop-off next month in May.
